Looking a little inebriated...
She actually slept through the party, while the adults ate. And of course I'm so mad at myself because we didn't get a group pic of everyone in Minnie Mouse ears like I had planned. She just wasn't having it and wanted to be held so it is what it is.
Here are a few of the pics we got. She wouldn't blow out the candles on her cake, just stuck her tongue out at them. Later, when she was looking at the pics on the camera she tried blowing out the candles then. Turd.
We also had her 2 year check up. Doctor said she's healthy and too smart for her own good. She weighed 29 pounds (75th percentile) and measured a kicking and screaming 34 inches (50th percentile). The nurse said she wasn't sure on that measurement since Fancy was behaving so well, and I haven't had time to get out the tape and measure her myself. She's doing so much now that it's hard to know where to start, so I'll just jump in:

Feeling fine on Friday night, testing out her party blowers
She LOVED this cake! And constantly asks to see a picture of it. It didn't taste the greatest though. Fondant icing is gag.
Money Savvy Piggy bank from Aunt Jane! The letter with it was hilarious! I can't wait to give it to Emma when she's older.
Red cheeks, runny nose and fever make for a pretty poor performance on your birthday.

- Uses the potty almost always! Whoop whoop! And I will admit that this is possible because of school. She has been using the tiny midget toilet there for awhile but didn't like our big toilet at the house. Even told us it was "too big." So I broke down and bought her this
and we've been good ever since.
- Knows most of her letters.
- Can count to 10 (usually skips 7), in English and Spanish thanks to our pal Dora.
- Always asks to take a walk around the neighborhood when we get home. We take a couple laps, eat dinner, take a bath and go to bed.
- When Matt asks her what his name is she goes "Matt!" When he asks her what my name is she goes "Mommy!" When he says "what's her other name?" she usually goes "Mama." Kind of funny.
- Can take her shoes and socks off in 2.3 seconds. Can put her socks on and her shoes on the wrong feet in 23 minutes. She's very independent and likes "Emma do it!" so we are usually late wherever we go.
- Eats ketchup as a main course. She may have frozen chicken nuggets on occasion and usually eats 3 nuggets and 3 helpings of ketchup.
- Usually falls off a bike every day at daycare. Her legs are constantly bruised.
- Likes to get herself dressed and pull her pull up on herself.
- Still hates getting her hair washed and having her teeth brushed. You'd think after doing it EVERY day she'd catch on, but we still have fits every night.
- Still has trouble with the word "fork." Usually comes out "fok." It's awesome at a restaurant when she starts screaming for her "fok, fok, FOK!" People usually give us dirty looks. Oh well.
- The other day when we got home, the moon was really bright and I asked her if she saw the moon and she pointed and goes "moooon, Uncle Wob." Matt and I both asked her what she had said and she repeated it. I don't know what it means, if anything, but it was comforting.
She's already got great motherly instincts!
Saturday morning in her chair with Dora.
This video was taken on her sick day. She had a fever and couldn't go to school. She wasn't sick at all, but apparently a laundry basket is the correct place from which to watch Dora:
Putting rocks in her pocket on our nightly stroll.

Oh my goodness! How grown up! First of all I have to agree with the fondant icing...icky! Always go for the buttercream!!!
I have to say that you made me feel like Westynn is WAY behind because he can only count to three and doesn't know very many letters. However, I started thinking....He knows how to check heifers, pull a calf, and open gates...he may not be book smart, but can run the place if Jeremy and I ever decide to take off for the weekend!
Happy 2nd Birthday Emma!
