Saturday morning on our way out of OKC. Matt and I were packing the car, and Fancy was cheering the Thunder.
Waiting on Dad to get out of Cabela's in Wichita
Patiently waiting her turn on the horse swing..
So she likes Capri Sun. Lawsy, she acts like she just won the lottery.
The Flint Hills really are beautiful. Even when they are in desperate need of some rain.
We did a cemetery tour to leave flowers and this was the Homestead Cemetery. A family Mom and Dad grew up with has 5 children buried here. 4 of them were killed in a car accident on their way to the swimming pool and the fifth child died a few years later I believe. They were all so young and had so much ahead of them. Absolutely heartbreaking. I don't know how those parents got out of bed after that.
The old mill in Cedar Point. So cool and would make an awesome restaurant if someone had millions of dollars to restore it.
Hike at the Z Bar Ranch. Founded in 1881, just 10 years before the Hashknife.
The 1 room school house on the ranch. How neat it would be to go back in time and see what class was like in there.
Jared's birthday also fell on Memorial Day this year. We wish him a very Happy Birthday and hope he has a great year! And we can't wait to meet that new baby!
