Wisconsin

We've been in Wisconsin visiting my mom's cousin Joe and his family for the past several days. We had a great time and the weather was wonderful! I think Emma wanted to stay behind. 1) I don't think she was too thrilled about another day and a half in the car (thank goodness for iPad's!) and 2) she loved her "friends" (Joe and Elisa's kids), Joelle, Dean, Jeannine, Jackie and Daniel. I loved it too. She didn't want to sit by me at any meal and Jeannine and Jackie pretty much handled her. It. Was. Awesome!

Running around at a rest area in Iowa. 900 miles one way with a 2 and a half year old might have been a bit of a stretch. At least Fancy isn't at all opinionated and kept her discomfort to herself. 

Okay, truth is we just kept candy handy to pop in her mouth! :-) Here you can see how enthralled she was to be crossing over the Mighty Mississippi!
