Where. Is. The. Time. Going?? I really can't believe Fancy turned 3 today. (But don't panic, she still acts like a whiney 2 year-old most of the time!) We had a Dora themed (I cringe) birthday party at Oklahoma Gold Gymnastics, and Emma thought it was quite fun. Except for the little misunderstanding about the cake. Mom ordered it from a bakery in Wichita and brought it down and she thought she ordered half chocolate/half vanilla. Emma said she wanted vanilla, but when the cake was cut we discovered it was half chocolate/half strawberry--what Her Imperial Highness had initially requested. She may have smashed her hand in her cake when she discovered it wasn't vanilla. Epic!
Some pics from the day...
We started the morning around 6:00. Fancy was so excited about her birthday she woke up extra early to open her present.
Her American Girl Bitty Baby was a HUGE hit!
Yes, this happened.
Excited about opening the gift from MeMaw (I have no idea how to spell what Emma calls her, but there it is!) and Papa!
"Oh. My. GOSH!"
Party Pics from Oklahoma Gold Gymnastics
Emma and her pal "baby Avery!" Don't try telling Emma that Avery isn't a baby anymore, she will have none of it. No clue where Nash was during all the excitement, but I don't have a single pic of him!
Make a wish!
And here are some current Fancyisms for posterity's sake:
- Whenever she gets in trouble she says "Mommy I want to give you a hug."
- When she's mad she goes "I'm NOT your best friend anymore!" Little does she know, we aren't here to be her best friend. :-)
- "Hey good lookin'!"
- "1, 2, 3 eyes on me!" I'm sure this is from school, but it's what she says when we aren't paying attention to her.
- She always has me swaddle her baby. She says daddy does it wrong. Ha!
- Constantly signing songs she's learned at school. Asks me to sing them and gets mad when I say I don't know them.
- When we are in church she always, way too loudly, announces "there's God!" when she sees the crucifix. Was quite distraught during Lent when the crucifix was covered and she couldn't see him. Then I realized I have no clue how to explain the tridium to a 3 year old.
I seriously can't believe she's been here three years! She keeps us on our toes and can be quite entertaining and challenging at the same time. Can't imagine life without this little firecracker though! Love her to pieces!
