9 months

So we're a week late with this post, but mama had a bit of an issue with an internal organ last Sunday on Abby's actual 9 month mark.  Apparently, my appendix thought it had better places to be and was threatening to rupture and spread it's nasty infectious seed all through my abdomen so the doc thought it was time to remove it. Doctors can be so overly dramatic. I can't WAIT to get that insurance bill. ER. Emergency appendectomy. Overnight hospital stay. Thank goodness Obama is paying for it! Wait, no, that's not right. Dammit!

So this was my view on Sunday and Monday:

On the road to recovery now, but abdominal surgery is no joke. 

I'm not sure I need to tell you how ticked this girl

is that I can't pick her up for two weeks. We'll see if this whole two week probation period really lasts. I'm thinking not. 

But here we are a week after that official 9 month mark, but hopefully after years of therapy, Abby will forgive us on missing this one.

9 month stats:

• Weighs 20 pounds 8 ounces. 82nd percentile
• 28 and 3/4 inches--81st percentile
• Head circumference is 45 cm--77th or 72nd percentile (I didn't listen closely enough)
• STILL not crawling.
• Still only has 2 bottom teeth. Emma had 6 at this point. 
• And, just like her big sister, she screams, talks and generally just likes to be making constant noise.
