Emma celebrated her 4th birthday yesterday and I can't quite come to terms with the fact that she's FOUR! Nor am I comfortable with the fact that she told me "I'm 4 now, I know everything!" Nooooooo, you don't. We are having her party next weekend so yesterday was kind of a low-key day. It snowed which she said made her "so so happy that it snowded on my birthday!" She requested homemade pancakes for breakfast (thank goodness she changed her mind from cinnamon rolls--I wasn't too excited about getting up at 5 to roll out dough), and I had made bierocs during the day which she and Matt both declared would be "nasty" due to the poisonous cabbage that I added. It's hard to train a 4 year old to eat her veggies, when the 34 year old man in the house won't eat them either. Sigh. Soooo Matt ordered pizza for dinner and we celebrated with cinnamon sticks.
(Don't mind the trash bags in the background. We were rounding it up when the pizza was delivered.)
It seems like just yesterday Fancy was a little nugget. Now she thinks she's all "growed" up. Abby got her the highly coveted Palace Pet for her birthday and this is how the "conversation" with little sister went. "Thank you, Abby, but next time you'll know that I want Treasure, Ariel's kitty, and not Pumpkin, Cinderella's puppy. It's okay this time." Nothing like a passive-aggressive 4 year old! Sorry kid, Target only had two choices!
Birthday cupcakes at school!
Happy Birthday, Fancy! You've been keeping us on our toes since 2010. Love you, baby girl!
