8 months

Where. Is. This. Year. Going?! It's madness, madness I tell you. This little cutie pie is already 8 months old. Okay, so she reached this milestone yesterday, but come on, like I was actually going to post about it on time? Silly readers.

 

It's crazy to think this first year is going by so fast, but the good news is she doesn't seem to be in any hurry to do big kid things. We still have no interest in crawling or pulling up. Of course why would she do any of these things when she knows she can fuss and get held? Well, maybe we're not that bad about always picking her up, but sometimes it's easier to hold her than listen to that hysterical crying! As of now, here are some fun facts about Fancy:

• Wears a size 3 diaper
• Has 4 bottles a day
• Usually eats baby food for lunch and dinner
• LOVES sweet potatoes
• Spits out anything that isn't a sweet potato
• At daycare she will eat anything--I think she just messes with us at home
• Bath time at 7. If she's not in the bath by 7 she shrieks like someone is sawing off her arms with a blunt object. 
• Usually asleep by 8 at the latest, sometimes earlier and very rarely after 8.
• Wakes up and is the happiest baby in the world and ready to play...makes getting ready for work difficult. I'd much rather play with her than get ready for work. 
• At her last doctor's appt. she weighed 21 pounds 5 ounces. She's a bit girthy. 
• Loves, loves, loves Gerber puffs! If she is screaming and sees the jar of them she shuts up immediately and leans forward with mouth open. 
• And, she's getting really good with a sippy cup. 

Those are her stats in a nutshell. We're having such a good time with this girl and don't even mind that we no longer lead exciting lives. I know tomorrow I'll be watching her pack for college so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!
