Class Bully

Every class has one. I think that's just a fact of life. But I never expected it to be my kid. And maybe I'm being a little overly dramatic, but from what I witnessed today when I picked Fancy up, I would say it's a definite possibility. So I get there and she runs up to me and I pick her up. Give her the hug and kiss I do every day, and then I set her down to pack up her bag.  That's when it happened. The sweetest little girl in her class came up and said "hi" to me and acted like she was going to give me a hug too (apparently her parents haven't had the "Stranger Danger" talk with her yet--but who am I to judge) and Fancy threw up a stiff arm and knocked the little girl down. And then the worker goes "yeah, she's had a problem with that today. She's done that about 5 times."

Whaaaaaa?!

Apparently, Fancy doesn't like the Personal Space Invaders who swarm around her at school. And honestly, I can't say that I blame the kid. I am not a fan of people getting up all in my business either, but at least I know not to stiff arm people. So not sure how to deal with this. I told her we don't form tackle people, because it isn't polite, but I don't think she got the gist of my message.

I guess this weekend we'll work on learning the phrase: "please step back out of my personal space before I physically remove you from said space." I'll let you know how much progress we make.

Lawsy.

ha!!!! so this story begs the question.... why didn't you receive an ipad update on your cellular device informing you that "emma simmons is stiff arming kids left and right at 1:57PM?"
