Merry Christmas!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas spent with family and friends! Fancy's First Christmas was fantastic! She behaved beautifully in a packed, hot church for Christmas Eve Vigil Mass, Santa brought her lots of goodies and she got to spend it with family (especially her cousins--she thinks they are uber cool)!

Sometimes I think people get caught up in the materialistic side of Christmas, and I'm vowing to make sure Fancy Pants knows the true reason for the season. That God sent his only Son to earth so that he could die for our sins. Can you even imagine? Sending your only son to die for us? It's more often than not that I think we don't deserve it.

And before I get to pictures, please pray for this family. They lost one of their 20-month old twin daughters on December 9th to meningitis. I can't even fathom the heartache they are feeling, especially during this time of year. I ran across her blog on another friend's blog and reading her story just breaks your heart. It also makes me realize even more that nothing is guaranteed in this life and we should be thankful for any time we are given. Hug your babies tight!

And here are some, okay lots, of pictures from the Christmas festivities:

Scrambled eggs Christmas morning. It was new for her, but she liked them alright.

Checking out her ABC train

"Oh yeah, I got this."

"Hmmmmm, and what is this all about?"

Trying out her new ride...

Pretty fly

"I'm not sure who this Santa character you are talking about is, but I dig him!"

Brooklyn--getting so grown up :-(

Ethan--still ALL boy

Showing Emma the "proper" way to play with her toys

Hunting boots and undies...how Christmas should be done!

Screaming at the dinner table

She was cracking herself up

"Okay, I'm over it. You can get out of my face now."
