Our first trip to the ER......
Here she is on the day of her Valamentime's party at school. How sweet does she look there?
......aaaaannnnnd, there she is!
I dropped her off about 7:50 that morning and got all settled in at work only to have my phone ring at 8:30. It was Betty saying that I needed to come to the daycare because she was running and tripped and hit her eye on the edge of the table. The nurse was there and she had a big gash on her eyelid. So I went racing over there to check her out. She was crying and saying her "eye hurt" and the nurse said I might need to take her to a plastic surgeon for stitches. Whaaaa?
I wasn't so much concerned about scarring since it was in the fold of her eyelid, I was more concerned about the little things like EYESIGHT! So I rushed her to Mercy where her pediatrician's office is since I couldn't get them to answer the phone. I lug her all the way up only to have the nurse tell me that they can't do sutures and I will have to take her to the ER. Awesome. So I lug her all the way across the hospital campus to the ER, pay a $100 copay, only to have the ER doc tell me she's fine. I think it has more to do with his extreme unwillingness to suture a 2 year old's eyelid, but whatever. She had a nasty bruise for several days, but she's on the mend.
On the way to the hospital. Looks like she's crying blood. And don't mind the finger in her nose.
Giving the ER doc the stank eye when he came in to look at her
All better and back at school for the party. Girl would have hated to miss all the cheetos they had. And I guess this is how she thinks a lady sits at a table.
Hard at exercising
Taking a load off after a hard day at the office
I went to a painting class with a group of girls from work. Wine, apps and paint--so much fun!
Saturday morning cruise around the living room
Where does she get this stuff?
Before her first movie at Chesapeake. We took her to the Lady and the Tramp and were a bit worried about our decision. But she LOVED it! Sat through it the whole time eating popcorn. It's so nice that they do this once a month, especially since it's free! Free movie and free popcorn, candy and pop. Yes please!
Coloring with Daddy at breakfast after church
